I think it should be possible to set up a wireless router to bridge and export/import cable from the router in a different location to the me system also having a router on the system with an ME system attached. I figured out a way to make this work with ender chests but it consumes too much space. I would even be ok with putting up a router every 10-15 blocks to reach the target. Just don't like pulling a cable that long. Unless I'm mistaken and there is something like this already.
